SANATORIUM

I know this place from my countless mountainbike rides but haven’t been there for photography since this very spring in 2021. I always knew that this gnarly and small scotch pines were a great scenery for beautiful woodland compositions as the place looks really surreal.

The spot shown is a ridge on a small hill south of river danube in Lower Austria and it has great potential for various compositions. The hill itself is home to various woodlands, all of them very diverse in regards of trees ans their shapes. It’s a very dry region and you will find many dead trees as well.

This very print will look better in A2 size as there is lots of detail to explore, which is the reason I will only offer it in this dimension.
