PONDEROUS

Trail of Druids - that’s the name of the place in the so called “Waldviertel” in Lower Austria. It is a mystical place where you find lots of big rocks and rock formations. All of them have a certain mysterious nature phenomena effect and where researched for years by a priest called Hans Wick.

This shot is part of a project of mine where I am collecting rocks or rock formations in the woodlands which are confined in cages of trees. I like the visual effect this symbiosis creates as it seems that everyone - the rock and the trees - give each other the space which is needed and coexist. A beautiful metaphor which sets a good example for us human beings in my opinion.
